Always on the wine Muck but wasn't at the time I replied to the poster.
If people want information then surely it is not too much to ask them to identify the country, place and time of visit.
FYI a raglan sleeve is one which does not have a shoulder in the body of the garment but the sleeve comes up to the neck in a diagonal cut.

According to Australian phone book under postcodes, there's a Raglan in country NSW and another in country Qld, but they're both miniscule. I know there's a Raglan St in Mosman, just north of Sydney, but can't remember if it has a hotel. It doesn't sound very South Pacific-y, maybe NZ? jaclyn, we really do need to know what country you're talking about.

Hi Jaclyn,
My guess is you mean Raglan (NZ), 48km West of Hamilton, on SH 23. Population 2667.
Waters Edge Vilas sounds nice (www.watersedge.co.nz)
Go to www.aaguides.co.nz, and search on Raglan. there are 12 properties listed.

I was in Raglan (NZ) in February- went there mainly because my brother is a surfer who travels there frequently. We are kayakers and were able to kayak in the bay there.
We stayed at the Raglan Backpacker- they have private rooms, nice but a bit noisy. There's a great old hotel in town that rents out rooms, too. Don't forget to try their seafood chowder!
