Recently returned from a trip to NZ & Australia. We stayed 4 nights at the Holiday Inn City Centre in Perth. The cost per night was $132.00 AUD or about $70.00 USD. It was clean & well appointed in additon to being moderately priced. Also the location can't be beat. Our double room was large, with a large bathroom. It was much better than most of the 1st class & deluxe rated facilities we stayed in at other locations. Frankly I was surprised. I would recommmend it. If I ever return to Perth, that is where I will book.

Thanks for your input Bill. I have been negotiating with the Hotel for a rate in December and because of
their location was tempted to book with them.
However, when I asked them the last time they had rennovated their rooms they told me 1997 and that kind
of swayed me toward not booking with them. I always ask that ? as sometimes the rooms in any hotel can be pretty dismal if they haven't been upgraded recently.

Did you find the carpets, drapes clean without cigarette burns? Would appreciate your comments on the appearance of the rooms as I am considering a couple of other hotels around the same price range.
Mahalo

coconut wireless
thanks again Bill, I posted the last question after my msg to your e-mail box came back and wasn't sure ifyou would be checking this post again. Having said that I thought you might be interested in that I found a rate of AUD$72 21 day adv purchase on the Holiday Inn web site and have e-mailed to confirm reservation
in December. Don't know where you live but in my currency that is almost an unbelievable rate US$. That is why I was so inquisitive to the state of the rooms ? I just couldn't believe the rate?
Aloha
Bev
