New Zealand for year 2000
A group of 8-10 adults would like to spend New Year's Eve 1999 in New Zealand and possibly Australia. Have never been to either. Where do I begin to get info on rental properties and tour info for NZ? Also any suggested web pages. Are there certain parts of the islands that are a must see and must stay away. Any travel tips/hints are welcome.
Hi Chris, we can probaly help you if you are serious in wanting to come to NZ. We live and operate nature walks and tours in the Coromandel peninsular in the north of New Zealand just east of Auckland. It is one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand with 3000ft high volcanic mountains in the interior clothed with semi- tropical rainforest, which we know better than anyone, surrounded with a stunning coastline with off shore islands. We could give you a full itinerary for NZ and help you to rent a property here near the beach as well. Best if you email us with more detail and check our page by putting in "kiwi dundee NZ" and then 'search' and it will come up. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards
Doug and Jan.

Chris, just continue what you are doing, SURF THE NET. There is a fantastic amount of info out there. We will be staying at B&B's in NZ in September and I made all of the initial contacts through the web. I would recommend the browser at http://server2anzers.ozemail.net.au, and the following web sites http://www.oztravel.com.au and http://www.bnb/co.nz as starters. If any other questions, feel free to contact me direct through my E-mail address.

Richard

Chris
My husband and I just spent several days in New Zealand. I would recommend going to Rotorua (an easy 3 hour drive from Auckland). It was wonderful. Its a geothermal area with volcanos, geysers and boiling mud pools. Also has a lot of history with respect to the Maori - the native people of the country. You can learn a lot about this city on the New Zealand Tourism web site. Auckland is not very exciting - I wouldn't spend much time there. There isn't much to see and do, unless you plan to go sailing. Unfortunatley we didn't get to the South Island which I hear is beautiful. Supposed to be more rugged - for the more adventurous type. Its hard to do both the North and South Island unless you have a lot of time.
