Need help with Aussie itinerary

We are visiting Australia next year in March and spending 2 weeks during which time the itinerary is as follows:

2 nights - Sydney
4 nights - Port Douglas
1 night - Noosa Heads
3 nights - Brisbane
5 nights - Coolangatta/Broadbeach area

Please advise if I should skip Noosa or cut short the days in the Coolangatta/Broadbeach area or stay longer in any of the places mentioned above. Your recommendations are most welcome. Also, please recommend some accommodations in the Noosa/Brisbane/Coolangatta/Broadbeach areas Thank you.

Hi Angela,

Your itinerary looks fine although I don't understand why you want to spend 3 nights in Brisbane. I am from Brisbane and it's a lovely place but really unless you have friends here I think 3 nights is too long. I would spend 1 night, 2 at the most in Brisbane and longer in Noosa, which is a really lovely place with great beach, restaurants etc.

Sorry I can't recommend any accommodation but others might be able to. Have a great holiday.

Regards,
Janine

Hi Angela -

You might consider adding another day to Sydney at the expense of one of the days in Pt. Douglas. Don't get me wrong - PD is great, but so is Sydney - and since you are spending quite a bit of time at the beach already, another day in the 'city' might be good. ANd, I agree w/ the above poster - add a day to Noosa - it is great as well. Can't help w/ Coolangatta.

Hi, I just got back this month and Noosa is great! we stayed at the French quarter as it is on Hastings Street and you can walk the town and the beach is on the backside of town, plus walks around the cliffs to the beach are all right there, we saw a Koala sleeping in the tree on our walks

You are spending 9 days out of 15 in the area of Coolangatta to Noosa. This area can be covered by car in a little over two hours. No trouble for daily commute from Coolangatta to Brisbane or Noosa to Brisbane. Forget staying in Brisbane and explore it from Noosa or Coolangatta. Divide the 3 days you saved between Sydney and Noosa - both deserve more time.
