Moorea and Bora Bora in APRIL? Wet or Dry?
I'm wondering whether we should reschedule our trip to Moorea and Bora Bora.

Right now we have tickets to go at the end of April (April 16-25). We really want sun and relaxing on the beach. I'd hate to fly all that way and get rained on every day.

Any help would be much appreciated!
thanks,
cat

We were at the Sheraton Moorea last year around that time and had some rain, but mostly sun. The Sheraton there is one of our all time favorite spots. Fantastic rooms overlooking the ocean with your own private dock. I say go for it as you cannot predict the weather.

I think it's a great time to go. The water is at its warmest, the rainy season is dying down and crowds are small. We went to FP in late March/early April in 2000 and the nearby Cook Islands for 3 weeks at the same time in 2002 and had great weather, and you will likely have even better as you're going a couple of weeks later. Take a look at the weather we had and judge for yourself -

http://community.webshots.com/user/lordbalfor

Ken
I'll share the advice a Tahitian woman told me when we were trying to plan our vacation - you read that there is a rainy and dry season. There really isn't. It's always beautiful in Tahiti and it will rain every once in a while. We were there in February for 3 weeks - it rained 1 day. April sounds perfect.... Actually, any time in FP would be perfect..................
