Hello
We will be in a cruise with a one day stop in Melbourne. We are a group of 10 and were thinking in doing a charter tour from 8.30 to 4.30.visiting the city center and Yarra Valley. Do you have any tour recomendations?Has anuone used Meridian Tours?
Thank you

City Centre, Yarra Valley and make sure they include Healsville Sanctuary. That sounds like a good day in Melbourne. The city, some beautiful countryside and native animals. I don't think you can do better.

Hi
That sounds great. Now do you know any tour company that could do a charter tour for us with this itinerary?

I would have thought Meridian http://www.meridiantours.com.au/ would do a tour like that for you otherwise another good private tour company is http://www.epicureantours.com.au/yar...-finefood.html

Healsville is in the Yarra Valley so most companies that go there include the sanctuary. The cruise ships dock at Station Pier which is in sight of the city, so if you were picked up from there it would not be too difficult to go through the city to get to the Yarra Valley.

That would depend on the driver as he would know where the parking spots are. Federation Square would be a good starting point and even if he let you off and you took a taxi back to the wharf after a day in the Yarra Valley, it would take no more than 15 mins. from downtown and cost about $A20. But you might be able to come to some arrangement that would include the return trip to the ship. The Queen Victoria was in dock this week and it seems the Yarra Valley was a popular choice for its passengers as the weather was perfect.
