Grayline tour of Melbourne

Was looking for help with tour of Melbourne. Does Grayline still do Yarra River Cruise in their Best Of Melbourne tour during month of August. Will be there Monday, 16th of August and they don't answer email inquiry. Any input about this tour would be greatly appreciated. We liked the idea of city tour, Yarra River cruise , Dandenongs and then Melbourne Tram early dinner.

Hello Nonnie
Are you looking at taking ONE Grayline tour which includes the Yarra river and the Dandenongs?
I am not familar with the itinerary of this tour company, but can have a look for you on my way home and report back.
I am aware of the City Explorer tours which are a jump on-jump off tour of the city highlights. They have well marked bus stops and the busses are distinctive as they are red double decker.
For the Yarra River cruises there are several boats/companies, you would not need to book, just turn up at Southgate and pick whichever route takes your fancy.
Don't know when you arrive in Melbourne, but Melbourne has official ambassadors, who will provide advice on tours, take you on walking tours of the sights, show you the ins and outs of the city, tailor a tour to meet your interests etc. This is a free service and the ambassadors are volunteers, you can recognise them by their red jackets. The program is auspiced by the tourism authority and you can book/meet up with them at the Tourist Information at Federation and also at the kiosk in the Bourke St Mall

Yes, it is one tour, Grayline tour #352. Because it is "winter" there I didn't know if the Yarra River Cruise portion of it still operated. We are arriving Aug. 16, in the morning and thought this would be fit in because it starts at noon. We don't want to waste any part of a day as we are in Melbourne only 3 days. Their phone no. from web site isn't good, no answer to emails, any one that can give input about this or better thing to do that day, please post ASAP. Many thanks, getting close to leaving. Thanks,

Hi again Nonnie
I went past the Gray Line Melbourne office on my way home last night, I believe that the tour you are referring to is Number 372 "Melbourne Highlights with River Cruise" and includes a Yarra Cruise, visit to the Dandenongs and Sherbrooke Forest with Billy Tea provided.
It leaves daily from the Gray Line Office (180 Swanston St) at 12.10pm. Cost is $75AUS.
You can reserve on line or by email
[email protected]
The phone number is 1300 85 86 87

Oops, update
The 352 tour is actually the 372 tour plus the Tramcar restaurant(I think that is what you are referring to)
It leaves at 12.10 as in my previous posting and concludes at 7.15pm. Cost is $151 AUS, the tramcar provides a 3 course meal and beverages from the bar.

If you booked the Tramcar independently it would cost you $66 per person all inclusive for the early dinner.
