Margaret River accommodations

Looking for recommendations on where to stay near Margaret River. I’ve scoured over TripAdvisor and Booking.com, and it’s a little overwhelming. Is it worth staying down by the beach or is it better near town? Thanks!

As there are 9 beaches in the Margaret River area you are spoilt for choice. I've only stayed in Margaret River and it doesn't matter as I assume you'll have a car . Don't forget the 160 wine producers in the area as well.

I prefer to stay near the beach to enjoy the sunsets and be closer to walks along the cape to cape and on the beach. If you stay in town there are a lot more options for restaurants though

Staying on the beach is great for sunsets and walking. But town is better for amenities. Do you have a car and would you prefer self-contained?
