Ko-Samui this March. Where to stay ?

My girlfriend and I are looking into staying on Ko-Samui for the first two weeks of March. Any previous visitors who can recommend good places to stay that are not too expensive would be greatly appreciated. Also any horror stories and advice as to what to avoid would also be very appreciated. Feel free to email directly !

Thanks Trevor.

My wife and I went to Ko Samui about a year or two ago. We stayed there for about two weeks at a place called first bungalows. These are individual bungalows on Chwang Noi. Back then they went for about $80/night. The beach there is great and bungalows are very nice by Thialand standards. Hope you have a good trip.

My friend and I went to Ko-Samui on March,1996. We stayed at the Central Samui resort hotel. It was prearrange through our wonderful travel agent. We paid roughly about one hundred dollars a night for a room with two double beds which also included breakfast. The hotel was beautiful and it was right on the beach. It was as good as any five-star resort hotel in the U.S. If you want more information about hotels and price range. Get on line and go to the web site:www.asiatravel.com click on Thailand and you'll find Ko-Samui. I am excited for you. Hope you'll have a good time.

Ziggy Stardust bungalows at Bho Put on the north coast. We spent around £10/night for a teak bungalow on the beach in lovely gardens. No swmming pool but plenty to make use of nearby. Bho Put is also very handy for sea trips to the nearby islands and also to the Big Buddha. Nice friendly staff, too.
I wish I could go with you!!

To Andy
We whall be visiting Koh Samui in January and are looking for a bungalow with a great seaview. I read your advice regarding Ziggy Stardust bungalows and wondered if they are on the beach or in the garden, could you please help me out with the detail?
Many thanks.
