Jetstar Asia

Does anyone have a recent experience flying with this carrier?

Does taking Jetstar from Darwin to Bali (DRW-DPS) count? If so, yes.

Yes, SYD-DPS. No complaints - service efficient, helpful and pleasant, flight on time. Not sure if this is typical for other routes but my overall impression was of a budget Qantas, which of course is what it is and makes it OK for me.

I could mention that so many pax were accommpanied by small kids that at times I thought I was in an airborne creche. But that was to be expected I guess.

Although my expectations were somewhat low (based on experiences with Jetstar 5 years earlier) our flights from DRW-DPS and DPS-DRW were remarkably good and gave me little to complain about.

Hi Tmac302,

Agree with all above - I too, had little or no expectations but was pleasantly surprised when I flew from Brisbane to Singapore and have flown Singapore to Hong Kong with them. Not the roomiest seats but there were spares and they suggested I could have a row to myself. Staff were very friendly. I would fly them again.

Just flew them to Bali from Melbourne . Too slow to get their Starclass deal but economy was OK .However the flight home, which leaves at 11.55pm ,was delayed 4 hours , the airport lounge putrid and air conditioning turned off .All very unpleasant . But the airline staff were fine .

Beware paying extra for seats forward in the cabin ( rows 25 , 26 27 )as in the bulkhead rows were crying babies both ways . Further back on the return from about row 40 were vacant seats and those lucky people got 2 and 3 seats to themselves and could stretch out .

We had an appalling trip on Jetstar from HON-SYD (Qantas codeshare). The plane was extremely dirty- someone had changed a diaper on my tray table, with the evidence still there.

The food and service were okay but the seats were very narrow and close- but then again it is a low-cost carrier. We will never fly willingly again with them.
