IKEA apologizes for leaving NZ off its map

A few days ago, NZ media outlets reported that a poster on the TA was mocked for asking if he could drive from Australia to NZ. I did not see the original post, so but it seems some of the responses were unkind in making fun of his ignorance, while others were more understanding.
Maybe the below story partly explains how the TA poster could become confused.
IKEA, the Swedish super-retailer, left NZ off one of their wall maps (an error they have since apologized for and rectified).
British comedian John Oliver has also offered a quick fix-it for such maps:

In January, IKEA announced plans to open its first NZ store.
