Hotel Bora bora or Sofitel Motu

We have narrowed it down to these 2 hotels for our honeymoon in May. Can anyone tell us whether it is worth it for us to spend the extra money on Hotel Bora Bora? Thanx

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The HBB was closed for renovations while we were in Bora Bora. There is no question, if it had been available - we would have been there. We had lunch at the Sofitel - I probably would not make that my second choice.....

Debbie must have the Sofitel Motu mixed up with the Sofitel Marara. People who are not staying at the Sofitel Motu CANNOT have lunch at the Motu - Only Dinner. No one but registered guests are allowed on the Sofitel Motu's island during the day. At night people not staying at the Motu may only go to the Restaurant.

The Motu is INCREDIBLE! We stayed there is May 2000. 20 bungalows over the water with beautiful views of the Island. Easy, easy access any time you need to the island. BEAUTIFUL, NEW bungalows. Terrific Service. Do a search on the Sofitel Motu - you will see wonderful reviews.
You're right - I did have the Sofitels confused. However, I still would recommend the Hotel Bora Bora based on everyone I spoke to that has been there..... I apologize for the confusion.

Forget both in Bora Bora it is way too crowded. Go to an outer island of Manihi and stay at the Pearl Beach Resort. A+++
