Dear friends down under. I am sorry we did not have time to come all the way to Australia for our honeymoon ( I married Tim Kyle on Dec 1) Instead we spent 3 weeks in Argentina . For anyone who is interested u can read about it on the Latin America format under:

"Our wonderful time in Argentina"

w/ my tag

AndrewDavid

I hope u r all well; my husband spent 6 0r 8 months in Australia in 1982 andwe r both anxious to get back and see u all. As the argentines would say :

"Buen ano"

cheers

Andrew, you have many talents, but somehow I can't see you doing a reprise of Peter Allen, complete with mariachas or whatever those bloody things are called (don't ask me, I hate Latin American music). Despite that, heartiest congratulations and Robyn and I hope to see you in this neck of the woods one of these days.

Hi AndrewDavid!

Good to see you popping up on the board again, and congratulations on your nuptials!

Never mind those Aussie's, when are you coming to the Bay Area so we can get together for cocktails and comparing stories!?

Regards,

Melodie

Hi Andrew

Congratulations!

Thought of you just the other day when the Bruce Highway around Townsville and Tully was yet again cut by flood waters.

Hope to see you back here someday!

Cheers

hi all thanks for ur best wishes,
Sally no singing dogs although lots of well feed strays. none of the aussies we met had heard of the talented dinky and hardly anyone believed us like some well known sceptics on this site Neil can u post the link to the ABC clip w/ audio of Dinky singing

Margo, no definite return date yets but hopefully sooner rather than later. Poor Tim only gets 4 weeks off and has singing dates for one of those weeks and I won't come for less than a month. so it will take some sweet talking of his boss

Peteralan is Neil referring to me reprising u or that other Peter Allen. Bought lots of tango cds and saw plenty of dancers. we r practicing in the privacy of our home!

Melodie I will b in Oakland the 23rd 24th 25 Feb r u up that way

Pat and Mike I am busy w/ my immigration papers and an ozzie from Airlie Beach and I show up in those places together ( yesterday we were fingerprinted together at the cop shop). He too has not so fond memories of the Tully River crossing, but fonder of the Euramo Hotel

Sally always glad to talk about fabulous argentina. if u send me ( [email protected]) ur phone # in seattle I can call u w/ my free phone and tell u all about it and will continue my postings on Latin America forum

Neil, Hope u and Robyn and the kids r well. hard to drive up Douglas past the notoriouys Red Lion and not think of u!

cheers
to all
Andrew

Yes, I was talking about that more obscure performer who was Judy Garland's son-in-law.

Hello Andrew, as usual I pop onto the Australian Board about once a week. How nice to see your post.

Congratulations to you and Tim. And a honeymoon in Argentina..beautiful! I will pop over to the Latin American Board in the next day or so when I have time to catch up on your adventure.

I hope we can meet up again some day when you are in the SF/Bay Area. I so enjoyed my luncheon and the walk with you. Best wishes to you and Tim.

It took about nine days, but Hillary was finally declared the winner.

Mr. Pickle and I almost always work as election officials in the primary and general elections, but I've never seen anything so poorly managed as the Democratic caucuses here. Rio Rancho only had one polling place for the whole city!

New Mexico is lovely as always - I owe you an email update.

Ah, Carmel - where a lazy million will buy you a freshly painted outhouse with views to the next tree, and the houses aren't numbered, because if you don't know how to find whoever you're visiting you obviously have no business there. (Insights thanks to Melodie, Unpaid Tour Guide Extraordinaire.)

Wasn't the Carmel Valley the scene of the great frog hunt in "Cannery Row"?
