Franz Joseph Helihike with 8 year old
Has anyone done the Franz Joseph helihike please? Which tour operator did you use and what was it like? Is it suitable for an 8 year old? We are planning to go in December. Thanks.

I did the Fox Glacier heli-hike with my 7-year old daughter, and she had a great time. We went with Alpine Guides (http://www.foxguides.co.nz/helihike.htm), and it worked out fine.

We did the Fox Glacier helihike and I'm pretty sure there were a few kids around 7-8. They separated the "families" from the rest of the group once we got onto the glacier. As long as she is steady on her feet she should be OK.
