Enough time between flights?

Hi All,

I am scheduled to arrive via Jetstar from Cairns to Sydney at 9am, to catch a 1010 am flight out on Air Canada. The jetstar flight requires an international check-in procedure and I am wondering if I will have enough time in Sydney to make my connection. In addition, can my luggage be checked all the way through?

Thanks all

According to this chart, they would not interline bags with Air Canada and 2 hours is recommended at SYD for such a connection http://www.jetstar.com/au/travel-inf...nnections.html

I don't think that's enough time, Vivid01. International check-in is a couple of hours ahead of the flight time - and if you're on a heavily booked flight, you can spend quite a long time in the queue.

It may be different if you're on an international transit - but you really need to check with Jetstar & Air Canada about this and also whether Jetstar will/can do a through booking on your luggage.

All you will need to miss your flight are too many flights waiting to land and yours put in a stack - or weather. Also you are going from the Domestic to International from a Jetstar to an International flight - you are too short by about one hour at least.

You will need to transfer from the domestic terminal to the international by bus - can't always rely on the bus being there when you want it.

You may also need to get seat allocation in Sydney. We travelled Melbourne to Sydney then by Air Canada to Vancouver and had to line up in the international terminal for seat allocation so it took much longer than we thought.
