Dear johnj, Thanks for the reminder. When are you off to Hawai'i? Thanks for the invite for a sail on Pittwater. We'll contact you closer to our arrival in Sydney ( April 13th) to follow up.

Hi A/D,

My partner Jenny is off to Hawaii for sabbatical at UH next monday am.I will join her on sept 27...few days on oahu and then a week on the big island.BI sounds like our cup of tea. Thanks for the tips...poster Gynna (who lives on oahu) has been really kind and helpful.

How is your itnerary looking?

When is easter next year?

The sail is usually a pleasant afternoon/evening.Pittwater and the Barrenjoey peninsula is (sort of) the marin of sydney (that is if marin had good weather and great beaches...only kidding.)

Hey, johnj,

aloha to you. Easter is April 11th, 2004. How long do school vacs last?

We arrive Sydney April 13th 6:20AM and will stay till the 18th or 19th and then be back PM on the 12th May and depart for home midday on the 14th.

Only point really fixed on our itinerary is April 24,-27 sailing trip on the Solway Lass through the Whitsundays. Will go from Sydney on the 18th or 19th to Tasmania in hopes of catching "the last of the good weather" (ha)
Still planning out the rest.

If you find you like hawaiian music Borders ( a chain)is actually a good source of CD's. Try to catch shows at the hula schools or failing that the Kodak show at Kapiolani Park in Waikiki

Hope the volcano is performing when you are on the Big Island.

hi A/D

the easter school holidays will probably run through till the anzac day holiday on april 25.

Sydney will be pretty quiet when you come in on easter sunday...easter is a bigger deal here than usa..bit like thanksgiving..of course there is no thanksgiving here..not too much to be thankful for in the convict experience.

saw a great doco on the tassie wilderness the other night...about a couple of ansell adams types down there..had to laugh..every still photo was in glorious weather..most of the camera footage was in rain.

Looking forward to the hawaii trip..i dont believe the lava is flowing to the ocean atm.

needless to say there are several Borders in sydney...talk about that 51st state. I am not really partial to local music/dance shows..must have somthing to do with that interminable chinese opera i saw once.
