Day Tours in Sydney

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations on tour companies which offer day tours in Sydney and the immediate area. I am a first timer to Sydney so glad to get any help from experts here. Thanks!

Hi there,

Did you try googling Sydney City Tours? It would give you some ideas.

Like many cities if you have lots of time and want a day-one introduction, get your bearings sort of thing, or you have no time and want a quick introduction, sightseeing tours can be useful. But to be honest, you can pick up free city guides with maps at the airport; there are lots of brochures and ideas at the main city centre Tourist Information Office, and the top attractions are easily visited on foot.

For further afield (Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, etc) I'm sure someone will be along with personal recommendations.

Have fun.

I haven't been to Sydney in a few years, but each time I've been there in the past, I enjoyed riding the Sydney Explorer Bus. It has a number of stops (hop on, hop off type of thing) where you can visit a museum, wander a park, shop at the QVB, stop by the Hard Rock, etc. at your own pace for a day.

Is it still available???

Hi Ccrucillo,

Not sure why you want a tour around sydney or what that really means...if you want to just see the downtown area, get a travel pass and just hop the local buses, best way to see the city...its not that big (the downtown). This pass also includes all ferries and metro fares, so quite handy. The sydney explorer bus is not worth the money in my opnion...you dont have time to see everything. Save the cash for food, you will need it As far as outside the city, I took Activity Tours for Blue Mountains and they were fantastic.
