David A's tour
A lot of people have commented that David's tour is great. I understand that he does two different tours. One is of his property and is substantially less expensive and one is of the Daintree.
Does anyone have any feedback on which tour to take?
Thanks,
Amy

Greetings Amy
We took David's all day tour in August of 2002 and would highly recommend that tour. It is well worth the cost.
The tour of his propery provides a lot of insight on the rain forest and there are many photo opportunities with the animals that live there.
The tour in the rainforest and the outback reveals a lot more of the rainforest. It is hard to describe, but the low key no-rush tour that David provides is definately one of a kind.
Cheers

I took David's full day tour a few years ago. The full day tour spent the morning on his property studying the rainforest and its creatures. You get a close up view of different types of kangaroos and birds. Then he drove us to Mt. Lewis, where he grilled coral trout on the banks of the Mitchell River for lunch. In the afternoon, he drove us west of the mountains to the eucalyptus forest, where the climate is very dry and desert-like. There are huge termite mounds here and different wildlife. We also saw kangaroos free-ranging in the late afternoon. I would recommend the full day tour. At that time, he was taking a maximum of 4 people on a tour, so if you have a particular day in mind for it, it's best to book early.

We took the full day tour in November 03 and highly recommend it. You get to see a much wider variety of AU geography (is that the right term?) - rainforest, "outback", etc., on the full day tour. And the lunch by the river is delicious!
