We (from US) will be in Australia for two weeks arriving in mid November. Should I expect weather there to be warm and similar to our late spring weather? My plan is to pack spring clothes with some linen things, jeans, and a light weight jacket. Thanks for any advice!

Sounds sensible to me. Our spring weather has been very warm so far but all the summer clothes are in the shops, so easy to buy extras while you are here. Keep checking the Sydney weather forecasts before you pack.

Whose late spring are you on about? The US is the third largest country in the world and the difference in late spring between Maine or Alaska and Florida or Texas is a BIG gap.

And where are you going in Australia? It's not monolithic - it's the sixth largest country in the world and about 95% the size of the 48 contiguous United States. There are differences in weather patterns between Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide and Yulara or Darwin . . .

In November, it will be warm to hot, so what you have suggested will be jut fine. There may be some rain, so a rain jacket is a good idea.

If we have a 'southerly' change which often happens after a few days of extremely hot weather, the temp can drop dramatically. I would pack an extra light weight tshirt so you can add a layer if you need to and possible a summer weight scarf, if you wear scarves. Socks and shoes might be more comfortable than sandals if the weather does change.
