Castaway,Matamanoa ,Musket Cove or Tokoriki

Hi travellers: Need your help in choosing one of these resorts. They all look good. We are avid snorkelers, so need to have some snorkeling available, preferably from the beach. Like good food also. We will be in Fiji for only a week so want to make the most of it. We are active senior citizens. Thanks for your input.!!!!!!

Of the places you mentioned, I can only speak for Matamanoa as far as snorkeling is concerned. The snorkeling is not good from the beach or otherwise. Actually, found the best snorkeling of the islands of Fiji I have been to while on the Blue Lagoon Cruise.

I'll agree that the snorkeling off the beach @ Matamanoa isn't too exciting, but the snorkeling along the outer reef of the island is absolutely amazing. I was there 3 years ago and we took the resort boat out to the reef every morning (less than 5 min. ride). There are huge heads of soft and hard corals and tons of brilliant fish swimming around. One of my favorite places to snorkel. We also enjoyed the food very much. Get the meal plan - it'll save you money. There's no where else to eat, so you might as well pay ahead and save.
I can't comment on the other resorts.
