Camping in Esperance in peak season?

Looking at doing Esperance around Jan or Feb but struggling to get a clear answer on how busy the campgrounds get. I know places like Lucky Bay book out well in advance, but are there any good overflow spots or lesser-known areas where you can still camp close to the beach? Happy to go off-grid if needed.

Have visited, but never camped. It was really quiet when we were there. Loved it.
