Before checking in hotel in Auckland and NZ tour
1) My flight will arrive Auckland airport AKL around 6:00AM. I am sure that's too early to check-in to the hotel.
- what should we do/where to go before checking in to the hotel.
- should I take Uber?
2) What 1-day city group tour do you suggest we should take to get a general sightseen of New Zealand? approx. cost? that does not break the bank
I want to sightseeing city tour, NO promotions, NO or minimum stops at businesses to promote sales
thanks

Hello,
I recommend you find out if your hotel will let you leave your luggage there (most do). If so i would get an uber from the airport to the hotel and leave your luggage there.
The Explorer Hop off and on bus is a good option as you can stay on it and get a really overview of the city. Also you may be tired so if your hotel lets you check in early you can always hop off and uber back to your hotel.
We lived in Auckland for 30 years before moving to the Hawke's Bay but we joined friends who were visiting Auckland on the bus and were surprised at how much we enjoyed it.
Good luck with your planning.
