Australian Money Plea

We are emigrating to Melbourne in September and we are keen to train my 5-year old son in the ways of Australian currency. If anyone has landed back in blightly after a visit to Oz in the last 6 months and still has some silver or brown cent coins could you please PM me. We will of course pay postage and equivalent value of coins in GBP.
Thanks.
Neil

Hi Neil,

We don't have any copper coins anymore the lowest coin we have is the 5 cent piece, followed by the 10 cent, 20 cent, 50 cent, 1 dollar, and then the 2 dollar coin. Our notes are the 5 dollar, 10 dollar, 20 dollar, 50 dollar and then the 100 dollar.

Cheers

Hi Paul,
I'm just interested in the coins. How many do you have and whereabouts are you?
Thanks
Neil

Sorry Neil, I am not in the UK I was merely pointing out which coins were in circulation in Australia now. I would think it might be difficult to find someone in the UK with Australian coins.

Cheers

Do your banks change coins (as well as notes)for Aussies who arrive in the UK with Australian money? If so, the large banks around the areas where Australians congregate may have some.

And if you can't get any, Neil, don't worry too much. In my experience it takes very little time for a 5-year-old to become rapidly acquainted with any situation involving money.

Hi NeilS - many moons ago there was a Commonwealth Bank next to Australia House in London, but God if it's still there.
