Any advice on our Australia honeymoon itinerary
My fiance and I are planning a marriage/honeymoon trip to Australia in May and have been doing some reseach of the area around Sydney and Cairns/Port Douglas. Below is our itinerary... does anyone have any words of wisdom or suggestions of things we shouldn't miss.

2 days in Sydney - walk the harbor bridge, walk around the neighborhoods, harbor cruise

1 day at the Undara Lava Tubes

4 days on a live aboard SCUBA trip with the Nimrod III

2 days in Cape Tribulation staying and getting married at the Coconut Beach Rainforest Resort

1 day in the rainforest at Silky Oaks taking the David Armbrust full day tour

3 days in Port Douglas exploring more of the rainforest, a 4 hour day to night Daintree river cruise (with Dan Irby), a hike around Mossoman Gorge

1 day day in Kuranda

Any help would be appreciated.

I am assuming that you are coming from overseas???? If that is the case you will be feeling like just having to do nothing for about 36 hours on arrival and therefore you would need 3 days in Sydney. Secondly although the Lava Tubes are interesting that are someway out of Cairns, in a not very interesting bush environment where it can be hot and uninviting. I suppose I would weigh it up as being: An interesting geographical learning experience V a day of self-indulgence either in Sydney or the GBR.

LizF-
Thanks again for the response. We're sort of tied into only two days in Sydney due to flight arrangements. But, we could definately skip Undara and indulge ourselves around the GBR... maybe a stay at Lizard Island if I can save up a few pennies between now and then. Thanks for the advice. It's much appreciated.
