We stayed at a hotel in San Francisco recently and there wasn't a coffee or a tea maker in the room. We were told that fire regulations didn't allow these after renovations had been done. We ended up having to go down to the breakfast area on the second floor, and heat up water in the microwave and then carry the cups back in the elevator to the fourth floor. It got a bit tedious doing it over and over. I confess I am a tea addict. The hotel did say there was tea and coffee available on each floor, but these were in pump pots, and were tepid!!

I will make sure there is at least a coffee maker in our hotel room or AirBNB in future.
