Hi,
Climb the Story Bridge. Take a day cruise on CityCat. Visit the Australia Zoo. Go to the Riverlife Adventure Centre for kayaking or cycling. Visit the koalas at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Go to Moreton Bay.
For the evening, head to Fortitude Valley...its the place to be for nighttime.
Best Regards,
Julia

Yep, sure need more'n a day for all that zooing and sancuarising but if you haven't snorkelled the GBR and cost is not a hindrance, a day trip to Lady Elliot Island - http://www.ladyelliot.com.au/ , another day trip alternative being Fraser Island - http://fraserisland.au.com/

We traveled to Australia this summer (sorry...I haven't had a chance to post our trip report-but it was FABULOUS!!) and I must say that I would definitely second the frasier island visit! It was suggested by a brilliant person on this forum, and we went just because it sounded fun, it was a highlight of our trip. Do the day tour at least. Secondly, the Australia Zoo was amazing. It didn't get a lot of props on here, but it was incredible, and very impressive. Both do require driving from Brisbane.
