I know that a couple of months ago when arranging my schedule I thought I found that there is an "express" bus from Yangshuo to Changsha -- I'm thinking it was something like 4 to 5 hours and arrived mid to late afternoon. Now I am searching and searching and can't find anything about it.n It seemed like a better alternative than returning to Guilin then flying to Changsha.

Can someone find this for me? Googling every combination of words that seems logical seems to find me nothing.

It's at least 300 miles via expressway from Guilin to Changsha. I doubt it can be done in 4-5 hours from Yangshuo.

OK, do red faces show up on Fodors? I found my old notes and in my planning stages I was looking at Guangzhou to Changsha by bus -- that was the express bus which was fairly fast. But along the way changed my itinerary and somehow had that schedule in my mind as the Yangshuo to Changsha route.

Looks like I'll be backtracking to Guilin and flying to Changsha after all. It is kind of funny, though, since Yangshuo is closer to Changsha than Guangzhou is -- but not all major highway!
