Which Toyoko-inn in Tokyo??

Hello All.. here I am again askin for your precious help again..

So, I've decided to stay in Tokyo for a couple of nights on my Japan trip with my 9 year old son. I had a great experience at the toyoko-inn hotel chain last time I was in Tokyo and I'd like to reserve a room there again for us, the problem is that there are so many that I'm not sure which one is most convenient and centric.

Last time I stood at Shinjuku Kabuki-cho but I don't think it would be a good area for a 9 year old (if you know what I mean..) I though perhaps somewhere around roppongi would be more decent.. So, here is a list of all the toyoko inn's in Tokyo, please help me decide which one you think would be best

THANKS!!!

I have also tried to figure out a good location for a Toyoko Inn stay in Tokyo. It is annoying that the website has no map as there are so many different ones in Tokyo, and the map on each page just shows a small area. The only one that sounded well located to me was the one you stayed in before which I read on another thread here is an iffy area....

Sorry I can't be helpful...

I haven't used the hotel chains, so can't vouche for the quality/property.

As for the areas you've mentioned before, some are not central.

Ones that are central/convenient would be Asakusa, Nihonbashi (check if it's near a subway stn), Tameike (closest to Roppongi area), Shinagawa (but not Minami-shinagawa).

I'm not a big fan of Shinjuku kabukicho or Ikebukuro.

I'm thinking of staying at the Toyoko-Inn in Shinjuku, reason being I'm planning to take the direct train from there to Hakone. Is this area ok for adults? (as you mentioned you're not comfortable there with a child).
Is Shinjuku a convenient location for tourists?

Shinjuku is generally fine for tourists - great transport hub, lots of shops and restaurants. Toyoko Inn, however, is in the middle of Kabukicho, which is bar/club/red light area, with a big gay scene. It's safe enough, but you need to keep your wits about you as there are a lot of touts and drunks.

Alec, which other Toyoko Inn would you recomend for convenience? I would prefer one so I can take the Narita Express.

Toyoko Inn at Nihonbashi Ningyocho gets my vote. It's only 10 min or so by taxi from JR Tokyo station (around 1000 yen). While the immediate area is mainly offices and wholesalers, there are some good restaurants - including one of the best sushi restaurants called Kizushi (a la carte around 15000 yen per head). And it's criss-crossed by subway lines to connect most areas.

From Ningyocho, you may also want to consider taking a subway/a taxi to TCAT (Tokyo City Air Terminal). They have non-stop direct limousine bus service to the airport. More frequent than Narita express.

Yes, but is subject to traffic delays in the notoriously congested road network around Tokyo.
