Which island to go to? HELP!

Hi there,
I'm ending my trip in Thailand in mid December and there's so many islands to choose from. I'm looking to stay at a beatiful beach (important) with white sand and crystal waters. IT's more for relaxing but I would also like to have the option of doing some activites during the day. I hear that the weather is nicer on the west coast (Phuket vs. Samui) than the gulf this time around. I can't decide between Phuket (is it too touristy), Ko Phi Phi (what is it like after the tsunami) or the islands of Krabi - I'm leaning towards Krabi.
I would love anyone's advice on this. We'll be in the islands for 4 days.
Thanks!

Krabi would be my bet for 4 days - I think it is stunning although I like phi phi too. Krabi has beautiful beaches and striking scenery (those famous limestone cliffs) - you can snorkel, take boat trips, kayak, take a day trip to phi phi, rock climb or just laze around - perfect.

Krabi all the way. Stay at Rayavadee. Absolutely beautiful beaches. You can take many day exursions from Krabi.
