Where to go in June?

I might be able to take a last minute trip to Asia in June and if so, would like to go someplace I haven't been which is Malaysia and parts of Indonesia. It seems like weather is not the best in June so just was wondering where you would choose to go?

If you haven't been to Bali, June is an excellent time to go.

Other places to consider: Malaysian Borneo (Sabah and Sarawak) or Georgetown in Penang.

Weather June to September is rainy season around much of Asia and hurricane season around the Caribbean. Best place to go is southern Europe where you should get lots of sun.

You could pop into Singapore which has places to go in bad weather. Hong Kong is fine too for things to do. Lots of cheap flights about.

Thanks, have been to Bali but many years ago and think I'd rather have a partner for another trip there. Penang interests me, possibly Borneo although those leech stories have me spooked!

cyberia, there are several monsoon systems affecting SE Asia, so it's not rainy everywhere. I use www.weatherbase.com to check historic weather patterns in the places I want to visit.

I may just wait to visit Penang when I can also visit the other places recommended here like Kota and Kuching-weatherbase gives pretty high rainfall amts for some of those areas. Thanks for the suggestions.
