When to go? Borneo - Sabah/Danum Valley/Borneo Rainforest Lodge

I am trying to determine the best time of year to go to Borneo, specifically the Borneo Ranforest Lodge in the Danum Valley. There seems to be a good deal of conflicting information regarding when the wet season arrives and when the area is relatively dry: especially between the rainforest lodge's website and weatherbase.com

Can anyone out there help clarify when the best time of year to go would be to go to Sabah, with a good deal of time spent in the Danum Valley?

Thanks in advance.

Remember that weatherbase is giving you data for Kota Kinabalu. Lahad Datu, the closest town to the BRL is across a mountain range from KK, so the weather patterns will be slightly different. So I'd trust the data from BRL.

We went in November, which is the rainy season, and it was still great.

We were told that perhaps the best month to visit is May because of the amount of fruit on the trees which means you're likely to see more wildlife.

Have you read my trip report from a few years ago?

I did read your trip report and its one of the reasons we are going. It was great.

Regarding the weather, I was using the city of Tawau weatherbase as it seems to be the closest to the lodge. This shows Feb - April as the best time to go. http://www.weatherbase.com/weather/w...=190694&refer=

Conversely, the lodge shows June- September as the best.

I was curious if anyone had opinions from person experience.
