What to do in Taipei?

We will be in Taipei for a couple of nights. I am having a difficult time finding a travel book on Taiwan. What suggestions do you have? We appreciate all serious responses. Thanks.

The museum there (I think it's called the Palace Museum) is very worthwhile.

You can explore the night markets, there are huge ones such as Shihlin (get off at the stop before Shihlin on the underground railway MRT) and follow the throngs. Its good for browsing and checking out local cuisine.
