What should I pack for the Mount Rinjani trek ?

Most of the leading guiding companies that organize Mt Rinjani expeditions provide camping and cooking equipment. Can anyone suggest what particular things are important that I should pack for the trek?

I haven’t climbed Rinjani but have climbed several other mountains of similar altitude and a lot higher. The ting to remember with mountains in the tropics is that you will pass through a range of temperatures. Essential to dress in layers as it will be 30 c and humid at the base but very cold at the top, usually reached at dawn or in the middle of the night. I was glad of thermals, warm hat, gloves, fleeces that could be added or removed as temps increase or decrease. Good shoes are essential. Pain relief for the inevitable altitude headache, a torch or headlamp for walking in the dark and, if you are sleeping on the mountain , your own sheet sleeping bag. Sleeping bags on these treks can be pretty gross!
