Vietnam October 07

I'm going to Vietnam in mid October 07. Any ideas please about likely weather / rainfall / temperatures in the North, Central and South?
Has anyone found any cheap return flights from Manchester UK to any Vietnamese airport? My best so far is £475 return.

I doubt that you will get a better fare than £475 but you could try Trailfinders who often come up with some good deals, (ask if they have any IT fares

October is autumn in Vietnam. However it's still a bit hot so you can go to the beach. It doesn't rain much this time so don't worry. You should bring a warm coat in case the winter comes earlier this year. Have a nice time!

Based on the info in weatherbase it looks like Oct is VERY rainy - both north & south as well as in the center of the country.

Hi there, I live in hanoi and it is nice and warm in October and does not rain. Yes bring a sweater just in case, but I doubt you'll need any rain gear.

What about the weather in October in Saigon & in Hue and Hoi An? We're considering either September or October for a Vietnam trip but were concerned about rain when we saw the stats on weather base.

The infomation in weather base is the weather statistics over many years. I have to say I would trust the data collected more than the impression of someone who lives in a place. Pause for a moment and tell me which month of the year you get the most or least rain where you live. Now check weatherbase. Most people have only a general impression of the weather where they live and don't know that kind of data.

Finding the "right" time to travel all of VN is tricky, as the weather varies widely from one region to another.
