Vietnam homestay

Vietnamstay.com advertises a trip on the Mekong Delta which includes an overnight homestay. Has anyone tried this option and what were your experiences? ( We're a family of 2 adults + 15 and 17 year old) and have travelled quite a bit throughout Asia but have never experienced a homestay.

Also I'm interested in your experiences of Vietnamstay.com's Mekong Delta tours in general. Thanks

I've heard a few good things about them on this board recently. I haven't heard anything bad. Funny, I was just looking at their site for our future (waaaaayyyy future) trip to Vietnam, too.

Cannot answer your question regarding a home stay or Vietnamstay.com. We used Sinhcafe.

We booked a one day tour of the Mekong Delta with Sinh Cafe tours. The large bus will pick up the entire group at the Sinh Cafe which is located in the Pham Ngu Loa area. Cost about $11 p.p.
or according to their website, you can book a private tour. With the group tour, you meet other travelers.

The trip was well-organized and we enjoyed the day. Wished we bought more coconut candy.

Vietnamstay.com has very good reviews. I already contacted them for a future trip to Vietnam and they were so helpful, kind and replied to all my questions.
I am using them on my Vietnam trip. Doing their Vietnam In Your Eyes tour after adding some changes to the itinerary next November or February.

I will be going to the Mekong Delta in early Dec. with 16 university students. It will be for 3 nights. At least one night is a homestray at a farmers cooropative. The itinenery they are using looks is the same as Vietnamstay. I will not be able to give a first hand report until I return. When are you planning on leaving?
