vietnam cooking classes

I'll be travelling to VN next spring, and would like to take some cooking classes in either Hanoi, Hoi An or Saigon
Any recommendations?

I did not take a cooking class when I was in VN (but may the next time) but a quick search on Google brought up a few links. The Omni Hotel in Saigon has a class that may be interesting. Here is a story on it:

I looked through my three guidebooks on VN and none of them have anything regarding cooking classes. Interesting, considering my Thailand books all have information on such classes.

Here's a website for Hoi An: Red Bridge Restaurant & Cooking School.

If I have time in Hoi An, maybe I'll take a class.

There are other restaurants that have cooking classes, too, in Hoi An.

Thanks for your responses. I, too, had seen the Red Bridge Restaurant classes in Hoi An, I think I will go with this. I know the metropole in Hanoi offers classes, but I prefer to go through a small, local restaurant
thanks again!

An article in the travel section of NYTimes earlier this year reviewed several cooking schools in Vietnam.

Ms. Vy's Gourmet Cooking Class in Hoi An: Reserve at the Cargo Club, 107-109 Nguyen Thai Hoc, (84-510) 910 489. The evening class is $10, with dinner.

Red Bridge Cooking School in Hoi An: (84-510) 933-222. Reserve at Hai's Scout Cafe, 98 Nguyen Thai Hoc; visithoian.com. The class is $13, with lunch.

Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi (above): On-premises class is $50; reserve with the concierge
