Thank goodness! And thank you for your prompt reassurance!
I must admit that I had completely lost track of your plans, but I saw a post on another thread from crellston staying that you might have been affected, and so decided to try this separate avenue to reach you.
I look forward to hearing about your time in Java, where it sounds like you followed not just my footsteps, but also those of Kathie and crellston (because I made my way along the paths they had already forged). I don’t usually read trip reports about places I’ve already visited, but I might make an exception in your case.
Again, I’m glad you’re safe and sound.

Hey Thursdays - I was actually planning to contact you, since we are flying in and out of Raleigh. I assume you are going to Europe, as you had hoped? If so, that is wonderful news that you are travelling again.
We are indeed spending half the trip in the eastern part of NC. It has been touch and go, but all but one site on my itinerary is up and running. We are starting in the Outer Banks, and then heading to Wilmington. Just this week, they began running the ferry from Beaufort to Shackleford Island. The USS North Carolina in Wilmington is still closed due to water damage, but will hopefully be open next week.
