Upcoming Feb trip - couple of Tokyo/Kyoto questions
We are taking a 9 day trip to Tokyo in Feb (with our 15 yr old son). Does anyone know about the Akasaka Prince Hotel in Tokyo?
Which train line do we take to Kyoto? This forum has such helpful advice - any other suggestions for teenagers (he's a good traveler) most appreciated!

Hi there.
I've popped my Tokyo recommendations on my site. I think your son would really enjoy the crazy toys at Kiddyland and extraordinary 'stuff' you can get at Tokyu Hands. It has to be seen to be believed. The other teens who hang out at Harajuku station dressed as goths will be amazing too.

You might want to take a look at my trip report from my trip w/my 14 yr old son last March; it covers Tokyo and Kyoto and other day trips from Kyoto.
Put "emd trip report" in the search box above. It will come up and it is apparent from the title that it is my trip report from 3/05.

Have tried a few different times, when you have metioned your trip report to access it by entering "emd trip report" but have been unsuccessful. Are you still able to get to it the same way?

Yep, do it the way Mara did and it comes up...the 9th posting on the list.
Just a tip, since he is a 15 yr old boy: If he likes Miyazaki anime films (Spriited Away, etc.) and wants to go to the Ghibli Museum (my son did, and I loved this place so much that I am going back there w/my daughter in April) then you need to get your vouchers for tickets before you leave the U.S. You can get them by calling JTB (Japan Travel Bureau) at any of their USA offices.

Okay, it must be me - when I search for EMD's Japan Trip Report I get nine returns, none of which is the report.
hmmm...must be doing something incorrectly.
