Ubud, where to stay? current taxi rates??

Going to Ubud in Septemeber. Does anyone know the current rates for taxi from airport? I was there several years ago, but prices seem on the rise and hotels are quoting 300,000 IR. (seems high)
Also, I am looking for a reasonable ($30-$50) mom and pop place to stay in Central Ubud. I would like to be within walking distance of downtown. I am currently looking at Kunang Kunang guest house. Any one have another hidden jem or thoughts about Kunang. How is it sleeping with just a fan??
thanks;
Chris

Lots of great little places around Jalan Bisma..walking distance to crowded downtown but easy to walk into rice fields if you walk towards Northwest. The best finds are not through booking agents of course, if you want a nice small cottage not a hotel.

rp 300,000 is a little high...at the airport it is probably around 180,000 or 200,000...but then it might be worth it for the extra $10 to have someone waiting for you with a cool drink and a smile..and not drive like a maniac. Plus whoever picks you up will probably become a friend during your stay!
