Trip report and pictures from visit to Japan in May
Hi
My wife and I went to Japan in May and I have now posted a trip report with some pictures on my personal homepage http://gardkarlsen.com We started out in Tokyo where we stayed for about a week. We used a Japan Rail Pass to get to Nagoya (the World Expo) and after that we went to Kyoto where we stayed 5 nights and we used this as a home base to see Kyoto itself, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kobe, Himeji etc. I hope that the trip report can help others that are going to Japan. Get in touch if you have any questions or comments and I’ll do my best to answer
Regards

Hi Gard, Thanks for your great trip report. I've only had time to read your Tokyo section so far, but I am really enjoying it, and looking forward to reading all about Kyoto when I can get the time!
So glad to hear you had such a good trip.

Hi
The Shinkansen picture were taken on Kyoto station is I'm not mistaken. We were waiting around to catch a train to go to Hiroshima/Himeji.
The weather was nice when we were there. It was a bit above 20 degrees during the days...some day maybe up to about 28 degrees...so it was perfect for sightseeing. In the evening it was cool which is also quite nice.
