Thanks, Bob and Mr.W, I am headed to KL, Lombok and Singapore for a three weeks. I fly on Thursday (11/11). I'll post reports here as I have time and internet access on my trip and a full report on my return.

Kathie--
Have a great trip. I'll be very curious to hear about Lombok. I was there in 1988 or 89 when there was only one hotel.

Are you flying Malaysia Air?

Gloria, my trans-Pacific flights are on United (I'm a very frequent flier, use my miles for Business class upgrades) and my flights within Asia are Singapore Air and Silk Air (a subsidiary of Singapore Air).

Two questions-First, please explain the double EQM-offer. We're flying United in two weeks.

Second, Kathie, do the Towersd provide terminals for the previously mentioned free internet access or, do I have to bring my laptop?

Thanks.

in the towers rooms there are keyboards built right into the picture windows so when you are looking out at the long tail boats you can be multi-tasking....

Gpanda, in the Towers lounge there are terminals with free internet access. So your multi-tasking can be with (free) drinks and canapes!

MrW knows his United deals! Gpanda, even if this was your only United flight this year, you could assure yourself of Premier status for next year.

Kathie et al.-Thanks for the prompt responses. Fodrites rock (Don't worry Bob, this may not include you. It does include Karen).

Kathie-back to the original intent of the post. Have a great time in Asia. We think of you as an intrepid advance scout. I'm sure you'll let us know of all the wonderful and not so wonderful experiences.

I wish you a very good trip to SEA too.
I'm anxious to read your report since I haven't decided yet whether to go to Jakarta, Lombok and Bali or to go to Yangon, Bagan and Krabi, next August. I ve already been in Bali and Yogia three years ago.

A warm thank you to all of you for your good wishes. I'm headed to the airport soon for that long flight across the Pacific. I'll look forward to reporting back on my experiences here on the Fodor's board.
