Some of these youngsters pick up golf from the regular courses, where they come to caddy & make a few rupees. After a few regular engagements, they will ask if an old club in disuse could be spared!
I remember an incident while playing at the local Army golf course, I missed a 6 foot putt. The caddy, not yet 4 ft., looked most disapprovingly. I gave him the putter to try himself...he potted, with out fuss...struck his hand out, 'straight as this'!!!
