Thanks for Bangkok guide tip

Thanks to everyone who recommended Ratt (short for kantapiyo Vimonrat) for tours in Bangkok and surrounds. We booked her based on your references and she more than lived up to them. You can't go wrong with Ratservice. We didn't know that she also has a B&B which is very inexpensive. Ratt will be our first point of call when we return to Bangkok.

Unique? Maybe, if she turns up on time! She may have improved her service or lack thereof.

She never arrived for our 8 am pickup at the Shangri-La then rang our hotel & left a message at 12 midday to apologise!

She put us a half day behind schedule.

I wasn't all that impressed, to say the least! But I have moved on, just never forgotten how slack she can be when it suits her.

overall she has had very favorable reports...

Lyndie-- didn't you have her cell phone? I had three numbers to reach her if there was a problem.

I used her for four days last year and she was great. She was late one morning but she called to say she wanted to pick someone up at the airport who had been a client earlier in the week and was evacuating phuket because of the tsunami. She asked if it was ok if she was 45 min late. We said of course.

Anyway I loved her and have booked her again for this trip.

Hi gloriaalf-Ratt did not give me a phone number. We did everything by email. I would have thought she'd call us if she was delayed. She's running a business and she should have phoned the hotel & asked for us, if she knew she would be 4 hours late.

The people who have used her satisfactorily may be many, but she did not do what she agreed to do, for us and she's unreliable, in my book!

lyndie i agree with you...easy to call the hotel...this is the gamble however that we play with all of these people whom we request to assist us on trips....the dirver i have used twice in CM was wonderful the first time and only so so the second time...we had him for 3-4 days each time...
