Thailand Customs airport
Hey guys and gals,
I'm traveling to Bangkok in several days and I'm bringing my friend a years supply of vitamins and Chai seeds in its own bag. The bag weighs 53lbs and contents are worth $300. Do I have to declare the contents at customers? Is this too much vitamins to bring in to my friend? Any help is much appreciated.

Unusual amounts of anything brought into most countries might be cause for unwanted attention from customs. I don't see how it would be possible to know in advance. I don't think the problem would be declaring the $300 or not, I think it would be the items themselves that might get the attention. While you may go right through without a hitch, there's no way I'd carry that sort of thing across a border. There's the appearance of possibly doing illegal business or worse. Any friend of mine would be on their own in that regard and I think Kathie has the right idea, to find a local source.
