Thai Airways Seat Assignment

I've booked several flights on Thai Air for December and January. However, when I tried to get seat assignments by calling the 800 number I was told that their system on that number could not make seat assignments and I would have to wait until I arrived at the airport. In the past, a travel agent booked flights with seat assignments 8 months ahead of time. I know it can be done. Any suggestions how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Try calling again. That doesn't seem right. I was able to get my seat assignments through the toll free number (I'm in business class though).

I rang Thai's reservation number here in Sydney and they accepted seat assignments for our Dec flights, whcih we now have cancelled. Try ringing your closest Thai business office. Have the credit card bills come in yet? You know the ones bob charged up on your card. Golf clubs, suspect massage parlours, honky tonk bars & the like.

Bob is correct. Does anyone have an E-mail address for Thai Airways in BKK?

Does Thai even give out advanced seat assignments for domestic flights? Most European and Asian airlines don't for intra-Europe or Intra-Asian flights.

I agree, rkkwan, I don't think Thai gives out advance seat assignments for domestic flights.

I flew on Thai flights in 2002 and 2004 that were arranged by a travel agent. I believe that we had seat assignments several months ahead of time. I will try the website and pretend.
