That's wonderful that you are interested in donating to a school while you are in Siem Reap this March! I hope that your visit to a school and meeting some of the Cambodian school children will be part of your highlights during your time in Siem Reap.
Hopefully some of the other Fodorites who have visited the schools will write about their experiences and respond directly to your questions.
Also, there are many postings on this Board about people's experiences in Siem Reap/temple touring should you be interested. Have a wonderful trip...and please consider writing a trip report when you come back!
