Sri Lanka private driver
Please find attached the review I wish to submit following our visit to Sri Lanka. I can also send a photo of the driver with myself and my friend if necessary.We will be submitting this review on every travel site that we can as we have lost a lot of money due to their incompetencies.
During a visit to Sri Lanka in December my friend and I used a driver from Louis Tours for five days. We were given the names of two drivers and thena third arrived the day we arrived. This was fine and the driver was very pleasant however he was not keen to stick to the itinerary we requested. The last place we wanted to visit he put us off going to stating that sea snakes had been washed up on the beach (and showing us supposed photos) and said that it was a long journey from there to Colombo airport to catch our flight to the Maldives. On the last day in Sri Lanka he told us it would take a maximum of 3 hours to travel to the airport and we left in ample time, however the journey took almost 5 hours with him driving like a complete maniac all the way. I am not of a nervous disposition but have never been so afraid. On top of that due to his complete miscalculation of time we missed the flight to the Maldives and had nowhere to stay in Sri Lanka that night. We contacted the company LOUIS TOURS and they, obviously didn't believe us and turned up, unannounced at our hotel two days later. Three of them arrived, one being the uncle, with the intention of bullying us into dropping our request that they re-imburse us for the cost of our flights and hotel. We just wanted to receive the money back that we had lost - NOTHING more. Since coming home we have asked repeatedly for this compensation but they have chosen to ignore us. We have told them that it is unfair and we will tell the world what a tin pot organisation they are if this is not resolved but they have done nothing. The driver has gone AWOL however the company he supposedly is now running is called Dissanayake Tours.DO NOT BOOK WITH LOUIS TOURS OR DISSANAYAKE TOURS IF YOU HAVE A FLIGHT TO CATCH AS IT IS UNLIKELY YOU WILL MAKE IT
