Thursday - thanks for sharing. Quite a journey! We did the samarian gorge - our worst nightmare...my dh fell during the first section of the steep trail. There were several others who also fell. He insisted in walking the entire way which was excruciatingly slow. My sneakers were not made to withstand the sharp rocks and my feet burned the entire way. We arrived at the port only 1/2 hr before the last ferry departed. I practically kissed the ground upon arrival. Note - we we amongst the first to start our journey in the early morning! It was a long and challenging day.

Ouch! Fortunately my chiropractor had persuaded me to start wearing hiking boots when I traveled before that trip. She knew I needed the ankle support, but they're a lot better than sneakers on rough surfaces too. I'm glad I did that hike, but I don't think I'll be trying it again.

While doing some online research, I came across this blog. Read through the pages; it has some good insights on places in southern India.
