SmarTours India itinerary
Can someone who has taken the SmarTour of India tell me how much free time they had in Delhi? I want to arrange a visit to the rail museum there, through a contact, for about half a day and can't get a definite answer from the agency. Thanks.

Yes, the tour includes a number of sites in Delhi. My planned visit to the railway museum would be on my own time, in addition to the tour sightseeing. I'm trying to figure out when I will have time to get to the museum on my own, presumably by taxi.

I went to India/Nepal in 2000 with ST and we had very little free time in Delhi, maybe a couple of hours for lunch.
This was a really, really good tour but we didn't have much free time anyplace . . . you can carve out yours, just tell your guide you won't be going with him that day (or a.m., etc.).
I typed up a journal from that trip and would be happy to send it if you want . . . just email me at [email protected].
