Siem Reap Hotel

Hi,

I need help in choosing a good hotel in Siem Reap. Looking for some place in the $50-100 range. We have a 5 year old child with us, so a kid friendly place would be nice (a nice pool area usually does it for her). Also prefer a place that is in town close to markets/restaurants.

Please help!

Thanks.

Bopha Angkor is one of my favorites, and is also recommended by quite a few others here. You can get one of the deluxe pool-side rooms for your budget, and it will have plenty of room for you and our young one.

I agree that the Bopha Angkor is a good place to stay. The deluxe poolroom is well worth the extra.

Also have a look at the following which are close to the city centre and have a pool.

City River Hotel www.CityRiverHotel.com

Golden Banana Boutique Resort www.CityRiverHotel.com

Mekong Angkor Palace www.mekongangkorpalaces.com

Mystères d’ Angkor www.mysteres-angkor.com

Terrasse des Eléphants Hotel www.terrasse-des-elephants.com

When deceiding on a hotel and comparing rates check their web site first and then a hotel discounter such as Agoda or Asia rooms etc. Make sure what is included such as taxes, service dharges and breakfast when comparing.

We stayed at the Bopha Angkor. It's only a 5 minute walk to town - in a great location. The rooms were pleasant and the pool is nice. Our only regret was that there is no air conditioned lobby or common areas to hang around in on our last day when we were through with touring and waiting for our flight. We would have loved to have a hotel where we could use the pool facilities and then shower and hang out in an air-conditioned area. A solution to this problem could be to extend your room for an additional day if you have a late flight out as we did.

Another resounding thumbs-up for Bopha Angkor. Can't be what you get there for the price.

I recommend the deluxe pool rooms there as well.

Hi,

Bopha Angkor seems to be the choice. Thanks so much for your input.
